Carlos Henrique de Brito Cruz Professor Brito Cruz earned his degree in Electronic Engineering from ITA - Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica [Technological Institute of Aeronautics], and Ph.D. in Physics from Unicamp - Universidade Estadual de Campinas [State University of Campinas]. He has been the president of Unicamp, since April 2002. A full professor of Unicamp's Institute of Physics, he was appointed dean twice. His area of research is Experimental Physics, in which he studies ultrahigh speed phenomena using ultrashort pulse lasers. |
| He was Unicamp's research vice-dean and president of Fapesp - Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo [Foundation for Research Aid and Support of The State of São Paulo], in which he has been a member of the Higher Council since 1995. | |
