Mauricio Prates de Campos Filho

Mauricio Prates de Campos Filho holds a degree in Aviation Engineering from ITA - Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica [Technological Institute of Aeronautics], and a Ph.D. in Engineering from UNS - Argentina.

He was a professor of several disciplines in the undergraduate and graduate levels of ITA, Unicamp - Universidade Estadual de Campinas [State University of Campinas], Universidade Federal de São Carlos [Federal University of São Carlos] and Universidade Católica de Campinas [Catholic University of Campinas].

With more than 90 articles published in Brazil and abroad, he was appointed dean of Unicamp's College of Engineering, director of the Companhia do Desenvolvimento Tecnológico of Campinas [Technological Development Company of Campinas] and of Unicamp's Development Foundation, in addition to presiding over the Patent and Industrial Property Committee of that University.
He was member of the Superior Council of Fapesp - Fundação para o Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo [Foundation for Research Aid and Support of the State of São Paulo], was awarded two Metal Leve S.A. prizes from the Associação Brasileira de Metais, and received the Jabuti Technology prize awarded by the Câmara Brasileira do Livro [Brazilian Book Chamber], the Prize of Excellence in Long-Distance Education of Abed and Embratel. Currently, he teaches graduate disciplines on the Internet (e-learning) and is a consultant in the area of Educational Technology.
